Worcester Graduation Exhibition

This page is based on my current 3rd year exhibition work which opened from the 18th - 25th May 2017.

The five portraits (left) are based on my interpretation of Mansfield Park by Jane Austin. The portraits are based on Fanny the main character and her Aunt and Uncles family.

The Other seven images are done with Lino, I decided to exhibit the lino rather than the image. I think exhibiting this way gives the images a different and unusual take rather than just display the prints. This Project is based on communicating synaesthesia through illustration to an audience.

Synaesthesia is a neurological condition where more than one of our senses works at the same time. Some people can smell time, taste a symphony and so on... In total there are seventy known variations of the condition and each person with it will have different experiences to another. I chose to communicate one of the more common forms of synaesthesia which is where people will see a different colour for each month of the year. I have displayed my seven best linos for this project out of twelve, Within the next few months i plan to make a synaesthesia calendar out of the linos so that people with the condition can get others to have an interpretation of what they could experience if they had it. Synaesthesia can't be fully interpreted due to everyone with it seeing differently than the next who has the same form of it.

Illustration class of 2014-17 Collaborative Drawing Mural

To the left is an image gallery of our courses mural for the Illustration Exhibition. The drawing is a collaboration between 20 students with the theme of celebration. The theme we decided on as we were celebrating finishing university and everyone's achievements throughout the three years.

Potential clients came to the exhibition to look for student graduates for future work and scholarships. We also gave out postcards with our details and an image of our work displayed on it.
